The Florida Supreme Court just passed a law that all homes facing foreclosure must be available to mediate first. One of the reason was the lack of communications by banks to the consumer.
As a California Broker, I see months pass before any communications by the staff handling "Short Sales"
It should be common courtesy to acknowlege a file and give reasonable update's to a Broker representing the "short Sale" process.
The lack of communication is real and from the real estate brokerage community who supports lenders, improvements in communications is a reasonable request.
Months of non-commuications is not acceptable.
